The ‘Wonders’ of Willow Bark Extract
Willow bark extract has been used for thousands of years as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic remedy. Historians have discovered records of ancient Egyptians using willow tree elements to soothe pain. Willow bark is usually standardized to salicin. In the 1800s, salicin was used to develop the pharmaceutical known as Aspirin.
